About

Marco Valerio Antonini is a Los Angeles-based Italian composer and orchestrator. He writes music for motion pictures, television and videogames. He studied Composition and Orchestration at the "Santa Cecilia" conservatory of Rome, and graduated in Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television from the University of Southern California. He also attended the ASCAP Scoring Workshop with Richard Bellis in Los Angeles, and was awarded the ASCAP Steve Kaplan TV&Film Studies Award.

It is an excitement and a  pleasure to announce that I have been selected as the winner of the Juan Gil Soundtrack competition 100 Harvests with the Family. On December 1st I will be in Madrid to receive the prize and attend a live concert by the Spanis Film Orchestra playing my score live to picture. Last April 23rd a 65 piece orchestra played my final cue for the USC SMPTV Orchestration course taught by the great Bruce Broughton. Here's the result:

I feel blessed for the opportunity of assisting composer Gordy Haab on the preparation of his recording session for Halo Wars 2 (Microsoft). An 80 piece orchestra played the score in the iconic Newman Scoring Stage on the 20th Fox Lot.
