What a great night in the Teatro Fernan Gomez in Madrid the Spanish Film Symphony! My 1st prize winning score Land - a story of belonging (you can see/listen to at www.juangilsoundtrack.com) opened an amazing concert with great landmark film music by composers such as Max Steiner, James Horner, Alan Silvestri, Bruce Broughton (he conducted his iconic Silverado main theme) John Williams and so on.. Great hospitality and warmth of the Madrid public, a packed house, and an amazing and prestigious international prize. I was picked among more than an hundred applicants worldwide.
